Yul

Yul, the Honest Worm is one of the Worm gods of the Hive, second in the Hive's religious hierarchy only to the Deep.

Overview

Yul's origin is unclear. He was trapped in the gas giant Fundament with the other Worm gods (Ur, Xol, Akka, Eir and their mother Xita). When the three sisters who became Aurash, Xi Ro and Sathona descended into Fundament, Yul proposed the bargain that the Worms would parasitize their bodies in exchange for immortality and paracausal power. After Oryx killed Akka, Yul plotted to consume Xol's power, which led Xol to flee with Oryx's abandoned son Nokris. Unlike the other Worm gods, Yul has wings, which may mark him as the most powerful.
