Overview

Materials are items used to upgrade equipment, gathered from planetary resource nodes, chests, dismantling gear, public events and activity rewards.

Types

• Currencies: Glimmer, Legendary Shards (removed at The Final Shape), Bright Dust.
• Upgrade materials: Enhancement Core, Enhancement Prism, Ascendant Shard and Ascendant Alloy, used to masterwork armor and weapons and for Deepsight patterns.
• Planetary materials specific to destinations, e.g. Dusklight Shard (Earth), Microphasic Datalattice (Nessus), Helium Filaments (Moon).

Ascendant Shards

Ascendant Shards can be earned from Grandmaster Nightfalls (the best source), flawless Trials rewards, vendor rank resets and the season pass. They can also be exchanged at Master Rahool for 10 Enhancement Prisms and 50,000 Glimmer.
