Overview

Baimogg, Unchained Wrath is a Taken Chimera of the Ultra rank. It appears halfway through the revamped version of the Lake of Shadows strike, where it is summoned after the second Taken infestation is cleared and supports the Shadow Legion. The Fireteam defeats it quickly. Destinypedia lists Lightfall as its first appearance, and it also appears in The Final Shape.

Mechanics

Baimogg works like earlier Chimeras and behaves much like the Voice of Riven. It places Taken Miasma pools that poison anyone standing in them. Unlike the Voice of Riven, it can place these under any Guardian who stays in one spot too long, and it can move the pools, so they may appear in one spot and then shortly afterward under a player's feet. Its listed abilities include Void Eversion, Seeker Burst, Blight Shielding, and Summon Taken.

Lake of Shadows context

Baimogg is one step in the revamped strike, not its final boss. The Guardians escort a payload device through the EDZ, detonate it to clear blight, and then confront Baimogg after the Ghost warns of a "Chimera ahead." Afterward the team detonates the payload again, fights through Cabal and Taken, and ends at the Reservoir against the final boss, Gor'ath Gath.
