Barant

Overview

The Barant are the species behind the Cabal, a large, roughly humanoid race with a bulky build and lifespans of thousands of years. Barant is the original name of the Cabal, a militaristic monarchy that conquers rather than absorbs. Its military is meritocratic, so better soldiers earn higher rank. Their homeworld is Torobatl.

History

The Cabal's earliest recorded period is the Era of Lead, when a Cabal hero named Acrius claimed the sun and became the first Emperor. During the Era of Conquest they expanded beyond their star system and absorbed many worlds and client species. They arrived in the Sol System after the Collapse and established a presence on Phobos and Mars.

Enemies

Cabal forces include Unstoppable Incendior, a Champion version of the Incendior flamethrower trooper.
