History of Bright Engrams

Overview

Bright Engrams are cosmetic-only Engrams from the Eververse Trading Company. They hold shaders, ornaments, emotes, ships, sparrows and Ghost shells, never gameplay gear. They are decoded by Tess Everis in the Tower.

Acquisition

• Reaching the level cap historically granted a batch of Bright Engrams, with one more for each level after that, and they could also be bought with Silver (real money). Each season used a differently named Bright Engram variant, such as the Illuminated Engram (Season 2) and the Eververse Engram (Season 12 onward), per the Destiny 2 Wiki.
• Dismantling the Legendary cosmetics they contain returns Bright Dust, which can buy items directly from Eververse (GamesRadar).
