Overview

Critical Insight is a Triumph worth 10 Triumph Score from Season of the Risen. It is tied to the War Table and its Umbral Echo upgrade, which can refund Risen Umbral Energy when you decode focused seasonal weapons.

How to complete

1. Unlock the Umbral Echo upgrade at the War Table. War Table upgrades are bought with Insight, which you earn from the weekly Season of the Risen challenges.
2. Decode focused seasonal weapons with Focused Decoding. The upgrade gives a small chance to refund Risen Umbral Energy on decode.
3. Mind the energy cost. Focusing a specific weapon costs 9 Risen Umbral Energy, while regular engrams cost 1. Players with over 100 focused decodes on the 9-energy option reported no refund, while friends finished in two or three tries.
4. Get one refund. The in-game text does not define a critical roll, and players take it to mean getting the spent energy back, so one refund completes the triumph.

Season of the Risen is no longer active, but its challenges and War Table rewards can still be earned.
