Declassification (activity)

Overview

Declassification is the final Kepler side quest from Ikora Rey in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, with Lodi assisting. Void readings reveal microscopic singularities, caused by axion bolts that must be destroyed. It was held back at launch and enabled by a later patch.

Requirements

Reports differ on the prerequisite: some say finishing the "Quarantine" story mission unlocks it, while others say it requires the Gorge Strangelet quest and Ikora's other Kepler side quests first.

Steps

1. Follow Void signals to marked spots in The Stacks (near a reactor) and interact with the briefcase; destroy the axion bolts.
2. Repeat at the next marker, then the next singularity.
3. Track the final readings to the wreck of the Ares One ship.
4. Defend it from Vex who arrive.

Rewards

Reported rewards differ: 3 Fated Ciphers plus an AION Renewal armor piece or a Kepler weapon, or one Fated Cipher plus Legendary gear. Related: the "Kepler Tasks" triumph.
