Degenerate

Overview

Degenerate is a Triumph in Destiny 2. The objective is to destroy the shield generators in the Maintenance Bay during the Ketchcrash activity, a below-deck encounter in the Ketch.

How to complete

1. Start Ketchcrash. Launch it from the Pirate Ketch icon on the H.E.L.M. map. The activity opens through the Ahoy and Aweigh quest. Master difficulty requires completing Pirate Hideout: The Brute, which is part of the first week of the Sails of the Shipstealer quest.
2. Reach the Walker room. Go to the below-deck encounter that contains the Walkers. Two Walkers are present: one starts in the room, and a second drops in from the ceiling. Waves of enemies keep arriving throughout the fight.
3. Bring a Walker to half health. Damage the Walkers until they reach half health. At that point nodes on the walls make them immune.
4. Get a Scorch Cannon. Kill a Scorch Captain, which drops a Scorch Cannon. The cannon is the weapon used against the nodes.
5. Destroy the nodes. Use the Scorch Cannon on the nodes lining the walls and floor. Destroying all of them removes the immunity, and the Walkers can be damaged again.
6. Defeat both Walkers. Finish both Walkers to complete the room and the triumph.

The triumph calls these nodes shield generators.
