Overview
Dungeon: Ghosts of the Deep is a triumph within Destiny 2 tied to the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. Its in-game description is "Trophies from the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon", so it tracks the dungeon's collection of gear and trophies rather than a single encounter. The collection is also the final step of the Ghoul title.
How to complete
- Unlock the dungeon. Visit Hawthorne in the Tower and pick up the quest "Rise", which asks you to complete the dungeon. Launch it from the Director, where it appears on the H.E.L.M. map.
- Mind the power level. Normal mode recommends 1790 power. Master mode recommends 1840, but Guardians are capped at 1820, so anything above that adds nothing.
- Work through the Ghoul set. The title needs ten triumphs (2023 guide):
- Arise: complete the dungeon once on any character.
- Alone In The Deep: solo the dungeon without leaving the activity. You cannot return to orbit between or during encounters, and no one can join before the final chest drops. This is the hardest of the set.
- The Trinity: complete it with a full fireteam of clanmates.
- Shock Risk: complete it with a full fireteam on Arc subclasses.
- Fire Hazard: complete it with a full fireteam on Solar subclasses. Only the Ritual, Ecthar and Simmumah ur-Nokru encounters count.
- Abyssal Void: complete it with a full fireteam on Void subclasses. The same three encounters count.
- One Of A Kind: complete it with a full fireteam all on one class. Warlock is the usual pick for its Well of Radiance healing.
- Sovereign: complete it on Master difficulty.
- In Memoriam: find all 12 memories hidden in the dungeon.
- Ghosts of the Deep: complete the dungeon's collection on at least one character. This covers the set's armor, all four Legendary weapons and the Recalcitrant Host sparrow, which drops from a Master completion.
Tips
- Hunter on Void is considered the strongest choice for solo runs, with a Titan using a Solar Synthoceps build as a close second.
- Warlocks can struggle to deal damage in the boss fights without Starfire Protocol, so bring Sunbracers and Well of Radiance for survival.
Rewards
Completing the Ghoul set unlocks the Ghoul title. The collection gives the dungeon's armor, Legendary weapons and Recalcitrant Host sparrow.
The requirements above come from a 2023 guide, and later updates may have changed individual triumphs.
