Overview

Excavation Site XII Solo Mastery is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It is earned by completing the Excavation Site XII Lost Sector on Master difficulty with no other players in the fireteam. It is one of the solo Excavation Site XII triumphs alongside Excavation Site XII Solo Expert and Excavation Site XII Flawless Solo Mastery. The triumph awards 5 score.

How to complete

The Lost Sector is on Earth in the European Dead Zone, at Firebase Hades.

  1. Clear the Lost Sector on standard difficulty first. Reaching 1750 Power unlocks the Legend and Master versions in the director. The recommended Power for Master is 1840.
  2. Select Master and go solo with no fireteam.
  3. Expect Master's modifiers, which are the Legend modifiers plus Scorched Earth (enemies throw grenades much more often). Limited Revives are in effect, and extra revives come from defeating Champions.
  4. Bring a build that can stun and break Unstoppable Champions. Riptide with Chill Clip can freeze and stun them, and a Solar Scout Rifle helps with Unstoppables.
  5. Kill the Barrier Champion before it uses its barrier. The window is short, so use a grenade and a heavy weapon together. Arbalest or Lament are useful against barriers.
  6. Spend one Gjallarhorn shot per Champion and keep enough for the boss.
  7. In the cave, kill the Legionaries while the Unstoppable Incendior is stunned. Stun the Incendior when its antlers glow red, then finish it with a heavy.
  8. On the bridge, do not kill the non-Champion enemies. Killing enough of them spawns the boss and its allies and brings six Champions at once. Lure the Incendior back to the cave and stun it there. Make both Barrier Colossi project shields at once, break both, then focus one.
  9. In the boss room, damage one Incendior and run so it follows you, then kite it to a safe spot. Kill the Nightmare enemy beside the boss first, since its orange orb buffs your damage against the boss for a few seconds.
  10. The Colossus fires rocket barrages, so take cover during them. Break its Arc shield, then use a Super or a heavy.

Loadouts shift with the weekly Surge. Solar weeks favour Solar subclasses, Void weeks favour Void.

Rewards

  • The Lost Sector chest after the boss.
  • Completing Master Lost Sectors solo is the only way to get several Exotic armor pieces.

Trivia

Guides differ on the Power numbers because they come from different seasons, so the in-game recommended Power is the value to check.
