Exotic Angler

Overview

The Exotic Angler is a Triumph in Destiny 2 worth 10 score. It requires you to catch every type of Exotic fish. The fish come from the fishing ponds added in Season of the Deep (2023), so their locations may have changed since.

How to complete

1. Fish in the weekly featured Exotic fishing spot. Carry at least 100 Bait per Exotic fish, since they are rare. You may need more than the 500 Bait maximum to catch them all.
2. Catch each of the four Exotic fish:

• Whispering Mothcarp: the fishing ponds in the Miasma area of Savathûn's Throne World.
• Vexing Placoderm: the Cistern on Nessus.
• Aeonian Alpha-Betta: the Outskirts in the EDZ.
• Kheprian Axehead: appears in the fishing ponds on all three planets.

1. Deposit each fish in the H.E.L.M. aquarium. Depositing a location-specific fish also gives you a Broken Blade, which is used for the Wicked Implement quest.

Rewards

Catching all four fish completes the triumph and earns the Pond Pals emblem.

Tips

• If a Public Event ends a pond on one planet, travel to another planet's pond instead of waiting. The Kheprian Axehead appears on every planet.
• The Cistern's water is electrified, so standing in it damages you over time.
• The weekly fishing spot rotates, so check which location is featured before you travel.
