Eye of a Gate Lord

Overview

Eye of a Gate Lord is a story mission on Venus in which Guardians defeat Zydron, a Vex Gate Lord. It is for one to three players and takes place at the Endless Steps in Ishtar Sink. It is part of the base game of Destiny.

Walkthrough

The Ghost first lures Zydron out by scanning the Vex network through a conflux. The Guardian then fights it at the top of the Endless Steps after stepping onto the sync plate there. The in-game description asks Guardians to bring its head back to the Awoken, and the mission leads on to the Black Garden, where the Ghost says to get a key from Mara Sov.

Combat

Zydron is an Ultra Minotaur with a weak spot in its midsection. Clear the lesser Vex first, then use Super abilities and heavy weapon shots on the boss. Guardians can retreat as far as needed to recover.

Rewards

Reported rewards include XP and a Ship Upgrade.
