First Mate

First Mates are the crew members a Guardian can summon during the seasonal activities Expedition and Ketchcrash in Season of Plunder. Each First Mate is unlocked through the seasonal upgrade system and can be summoned during missions.

Summoning

• Ketchcrash: Unlock a First Mate upgrade in the fourth column of the Star Chart, then start the activity and watch for a pirate flag during the mission. Interacting with the flag spawns your First Mate.
• Expedition: Your First Mate is set by an upgrade in your Captain's Log. When you select an Expedition map, you can choose your First Mate.

Scallywag title

The Crew's Control triumph, part of the Scallywag title, requires summoning each First Mate 15 times across Expedition and Ketchcrash.
