History of Gor'ath Gath

Gor'ath Gath is a Taken Phalanx and the final boss of the revamped Lake of Shadows strike. It functions similarly to Grask, the Consumed, which it replaced. Sources do not agree on when that change happened: the Destinypedia entry lists Lightfall as its first appearance, and the gallery suggests a 2023 Lightfall strike refresh.

Gor'ath Gath projects a shield blast that can send Guardians into danger, teleports around the arena and sets up tethers to make landing blasts easier. Rather than a steadily rising Blight pool, it summons Pyramid Spikes. Leaving even one standing raises a Blight pool, and destroying all of them retracts the hazard until they are summoned again.
