HKD-1, Instrument of Xivu Arath

Overview

HKD-1, Instrument of Xivu Arath is a Fallen Heavy Shank that a Cryptolith corrupted into a Wrathborn servant of Xivu Arath, the Hive god of war. It is the boss of the Fallen Wrathborn hunt in Season of the Hunt.

Hunt

The hunt starts with a lure placed at a Cryptolith in Thieves' Landing, which draws out a Fallen Wrathborn Servitor. Once the Servitor's health is depleted, it flees to its lair in the Tangled Shore. A quest beacon there starts the "Track the Wrathborn" activity. The Servitor is lured out again to summon HKD-1. Sources recommend 1150 Light or higher before starting.

Boss fight

HKD-1 spawns with an immunity shield and corrupted Wrathborn Captains. Killing a Captain leaves a green pool. Standing in it grants the Wrathful buff, which lets the player damage the shield and deal extra damage. The buff lasts four seconds after leaving the pool, so players should stay in pools as much as possible and use heavy weapons against its high durability.
