Hangman's Pass

Overview

Hangman's Pass is a location in the European Dead Zone west of the town of Trostland. It is a winding highway and tunnel system that cuts through rugged wilderness. It connects to Maevic Square, which acts as the pass-through to Hangman's Pass and The Reservoir.

Access

Access from Maevic Square is blocked by two Fallen barriers. Older content shows them lowered during the story mission A Deadly Trial and the strike Lake of Shadows, so check the current state in-game.

Lore

A Cult of Osiris enclave once built a small temple in the basement of a Golden Age radio tower here. Later the Fallen invaded, killed the cultists and left relics behind, which a Guardian later found. Years later the Dire Taken deployed an Eversion Anchor from the Dreadnaught in the area. The location first appeared in Curse of Osiris and returned in Episode: Heresy.
