H.E.L.M.

Overview

The H.E.L.M. (Hub for Emergency Logistics and Maneuvers) is the Vanguard operations outpost aboard a large ship, first docked in the Last City. A 2021 launch article expanded its name as “Hub for Emergency and Logistical Maneuvers.” It opened after the Black Fleet arrived and became a seasonal operations hub, with vendors and narrative spaces arranged in different wings.

Features and history

The War Table, Umbral Decoder, Vault, Postmaster, and quest terminal have been among its facilities. The Umbral Decoder was taken from The Drifter to process Umbral Engrams. Seasonal spaces included the Eliksni and Awoken Wings, Psiorium, and Crown of Sorrow Quarantine Wing; facilities and vendors changed across seasons. During Episode: Revenant, the Scorn rammed a Ketch into the ship while Fikrul re-emerged, and Failsafe guided it to crash-land on Europa. Most of the ship was later recovered and set atop the City walls. Older seasonal launch points included PsiOps Battlegrounds, Ketchcrash, Expeditions, and Heist Battlegrounds; availability depended on the season.
