History of Hex Drinker

Overview

Hex Drinkers are Scorn Wraith variants that appear in the final encounter of Warlord's Ruin, Hefnd's Vengeance (the Blighted Chimaera). They are Corrupted Hex-Drinkers, elite Scorn enemies that are immune to all damage and carry a Solar torch.

Mechanic

Guardians cleanse totems and receive the Hex of Vengeful Corruption, a countdown debuff that kills the player when it reaches zero. Hex Drinkers appear shortly after the debuff is applied. Meleeing a Hex Drinker transfers the debuff to it, and the Hex Drinker dies if the timer runs out. If a Hex Drinker melees the Guardian first, the debuff transfers back. Players usually stay mobile near one, pass the debuff when the timer is low, and keep out of melee range afterwards.
