II: Hollowhot

Overview

II: Hollowhot is a Triumph in Destiny 2 for the chapter “II: Hollowhot” in the Achilles Weaves a Cocoon Lore book, which was added in Season of the Splicer in May 2021.

Chapter

The chapter is written in the third person and follows Namrask, a Drekh weaver. Namrask connects the icy Drekh tunnels and weaves hollowhot matting to insulate them, so that some areas warm enough to shed armour. For the first time he can consider more than survival. Phylaks, a lieutenant of Eramis, recruits him with videos of Eramis’s new powers, but he refuses, having seen past attempts to seize new power end badly. Yriks later tries to change his mind, and Namrask argues that Eramis keeps power scarce to keep her authority. The chapter closes with hollowhot as a metaphor: “There is nothing inside it.” Prying too hard breaks it, and the breaking makes it useless.
