III: A Fire Inside

Overview

III: A Fire Inside is a lore triumph in Destiny 2. It unlocks the chapter III: A Fire Inside of the lore book Letters from a Renegade, added in Season of the Forge (2019).

The chapter is a letter from Shin Malphur, signed S. Shin describes how he turned grief over losing his home and his mentor, Jaren Ward, into a vengeful drive, and how that anger dulled the pain rather than healing it. He asks the Guardian whether their recent fighting, including the loss of Cayde-6, is to protect and reclaim or to avenge, and what they are fighting for.

How to complete

• Complete steps in the The Draw Exotic quest; the Letters from a Renegade pages unlock through it.
