Ignovun

Overview

Ignovun, Chosen of Caiatl, was a warrior of the Cabal and commander of Caiatl's fleet. She chose him as her champion, and he is described as the strongest of her warriors. He first appeared in Season of the Chosen.

Clash of the Chosen

Caiatl selected Ignovun to face the Guardian in a final Rite of Proving aboard the Imperial Land Tank Halphas Electus. The outcome would decide the terms of an agreement between the Cabal Empire and the Vanguard. Ignovun fought with Solar psionic abilities and shield generators, but a Guardian fireteam defeated him in the arena. The Vanguard then set the terms of an armistice with the Cabal.

Saladin's response

Lord Saladin opposed the challenge, warning that the Vanguard might lose and that Caiatl would not respect diplomacy. After the armistice he stayed angry about how the conflict ended, and he believed Caiatl would break it.
