Initial Calibration

Overview

Initial Calibration is the opening quest of Arms Week, given by Ada-1 in the Shooting Range at the Tower. Each Arms Week focuses on one weapon type; this version uses Bows (27 January to 3 February 2026) and starter weapon King Orfeo. Earlier weeks use the same quest with other archetypes: guides for a Hand Cannon week list Phoneutria Fera and a Fragmentation Rounds mod instead. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes. Event only.

Walkthrough

1. Talk to Ada-1 in the Shooting Range and take the prototype weapon.
2. Complete the Prototype Tuning rounds (Magazine and Traits here; Barrel too in other weeks). Progress counts in parallel while you use the prototype in activities.
3. Report to Ada-1.
4. Hand over Combat Telemetry for an Arms Week Engram. Solo Ops and the Caldera are good Telemetry farms.
5. Visit Ada-1 for the Volatile Weapon mod.
6. Equip the Volatile mod to a Bow. Guides stress it must go on the original prototype weapon.
7. Visit Ada-1 to finish.

Rewards

• Shattershafts exotic mod (arrows and bolts split into several projectiles).
• Unlocks In-Flight Benefits and Tungsten Bowstring.

Trivia

• Volatile mods dissolve at the end of the event.
