Korosek, Thronebringer

Overview

Korosek, Thronebringer is the boss of PsiOps Battleground: Moon, a mission on The Moon that is run from the PsiOps Battlegrounds playlists. Players weaken Korosek, secure it, and repeat the cycle across several objectives while stopping a Lucent Hive portal ritual.

The mission was added during Season of the Risen. Guides now say it is no longer tied to that season, and it can be started from the Moon entry in the Destinations tab.

Boss fight

1. Damage Korosek until one health bar is gone. Psions then subdue her.
2. Once the Guardian is pulled into the Mindscape, interact with the waypoint, then fight Korosek until the next health bar is gone. She then becomes invulnerable.
3. Aspects of Savathûn appear. Grab the nearby Synaptic Spear, the only weapon that damages them. Once they are destroyed, Korosek returns. Repeat until all her health bars are gone.
4. Once Korosek is down, the Guardian is returned to the material plane, where she is helpless. Open the nearby chest for rewards.

Korosek hovers out of melee range most of the time, so a strong ranged weapon is the practical choice. Legend difficulty is optional; its recommended power level is 1550, compared with 1400 on the normal playlist.

Seasonal challenge

Defeating Korosek counts toward the Season of the Risen weekly challenge Snuffed Out, along with Mor'ak Lightstealer and Uul'nath Lightcleanser in PsiOps Battlegrounds.
