History of Legionary

Overview

Legionaries are the standard line infantry of the Cabal legions. They hold no formal rank and form the ground frontline, supported by Centurions and Phalanxes. They usually carry Slug Rifles or Cabal Slug Shotguns, with Projection Rifles in rarer cases.

In melee they use a heated blade; in Destiny 2 it deploys from the wrist and can be thrown to explode on contact. Built-in jump jets let them move quickly across the battlefield, through abilities such as Limited Flight and Strafe Thrusters.

Most standard Legionaries have no shield. Some variants do, including the Arc-shielded Blood Guard and Imperial Legionaries and the Strand-shielded Shadow Guard Legionary. Bracuses lead small squads of Legionaries, and they serve in most Cabal legions, including the Red Legion, Shadow Legion and Imperial Cabal.
