Lone Harbinger

Overview

Lone Harbinger is a Triumph worth 5 points. It requires completing the Harbinger Exotic mission solo, with no fireteam members. Harbinger was added in Season of the Hunt in January 2021, and it was the route to the Hawkmoon Catalyst.

How to complete

1. Earn Hawkmoon through the "Let Loose Thy Talons" questline. The "Bird of Prey" quest from Crow on the Tangled Shore then points to the European Dead Zone.
2. In Trostland, go to the dilapidated building east of the church and up to the second floor. Equip Hawkmoon and shoot the fireplace several times to open a hidden passage.
3. Interact with the sparking fusebox inside to start the mission.
4. Play it alone. The Survival encounter is the hardest part solo. Use cover on the upper platforms, since restricted respawns or a wipe mechanic were often active.
5. Use scout rifles or snipers from range, and keep Void, Arc and Solar weapons ready. Enemy shields must be matched with the correct elemental damage.
6. In the boss room, kill the shield goblins first. Hide behind the box stack when fighting Unstoppable enemies.

Notes

Harbinger was moved into the Destiny Content Vault with The Witch Queen in February 2022, so the mission is no longer playable.

Players argued in 2021 and 2022 that Harbinger was designed for three players, making the solo triumph much harder than the rest of the mission.
