MIDA Multi-Tool Catalyst

Overview

The MIDA Multi-Tool Catalyst is the catalyst for the MIDA Multi-Tool. Its triumph asks players to defeat Guardians in the Crucible with precision final blows from the MIDA Multi-Tool. The objectives are to insert the catalyst (0/2) and to get 200 precision kills (0/200).

How to complete

1. Get the catalyst. It drops only after a win in the Glory competitive playlist. The chance depends on your Glory rank: about 5% at Fabled and 10% at Mythic, rising to 10% and 30% with the Clan bonus. At Legend, the next win after reaching 5,500 Glory is guaranteed. A loss that gets you deranked lowers your chance again. Reported rates vary.
2. Insert the catalyst into the MIDA Multi-Tool to start the upgrade.
3. Get 200 precision kills in the Crucible with the MIDA Multi-Tool. Precision kills from before you had the catalyst count toward the total.

Tip: Keep your distance. The MIDA loses ground when a Hand Cannon or Pulse Rifle hits you first.

Catalyst

Before a September 2021 update, the catalyst's perk was Outlaw: precision kills greatly decrease reload time. The update replaced it with No Distractions, which reduces aim flinch after aiming down sights for a few seconds.
