History of Magnum Opus II

Overview

Magnum Opus II is the Exotic catalyst quest for Forerunner. After completing Magnum Opus and obtaining Forerunner, reach Rank 16 with Xûr's Strange Favor reputation in Dares of Eternity and claim the Anomalous Access Card from Xûr in Xûr's Treasure Hoard. Rank progress varies by streaks and bonuses, so older estimates of a fixed number of runs are not guarantees.

Walkthrough

1. Complete a Dares of Eternity run with a score of 225,000. The Legend version is a reliable route to the threshold, but it has no matchmaking; normal mode can also meet the objective when the score is high enough.
2. Take the Anomalous Weapon Part to Banshee-44 in the Tower to receive the catalyst.
3. Defeat targets with Forerunner to unlock the catalyst's upgrade.

Rewards

• Forerunner Catalyst for Forerunner; its perk, The Rock, lets you consume ammunition after a final blow to convert your next thrown grenade into a fragmentation grenade.
