Mod Components

Mod Components are Legendary-tier crafting materials used to make new mods.

Acquisition

• Dismantling any Legendary mod yields 1 Mod Component.
• Daily bounties from Banshee-44 award 2 each.
• Ada-1 sells them for 25 Gunsmith Materials and 3 Legendary Shards each.

Uses

At Banshee-44, the Create Armor Mod and Create Weapon Mod options each cost 2 Mod Components and 1,000 Glimmer for a random Legendary mod of that type. Specific Legendary mods in stock cost 5 Mod Components and 10 Legendary Shards each.

Status

Mod Components were deprecated in the 4.0.0.1 update, along with Gunsmith Materials, Weapon Telemetry and Pure Matterglass Lens. The uses and sources above describe the system before that change.
