Open The Way

Open The Way is the first major encounter in the Starcrossed exotic mission. Players gain the Sire's Obligation buff by running to a light pool in the arena, which lets them damage the enemies and see the symbol above each one.

Encounter

An energy gate at the far end of the arena projects three symbols. Players defeat the three Taken Phalanxes in the order the symbols appear, reading top to bottom. The Phalanxes spawn on the left, middle and right sides of the arena. The buff lasts roughly 45 seconds after leaving the pool, so return to a light pool when it runs out. Defeating all three in the correct order completes the encounter.
