Taken Phalanx

Overview

The Taken Phalanx is a Taken version of the Cabal Phalanx. It keeps its shield and uses it as a weapon, firing Arc shield blasts that knock Guardians into the air. Phalanxes often stand near cliffs, so these blasts are especially dangerous near ledges and hazards. Meleeing the Phalanx as it fires cancels the knockback.

It also carries an Arc Taken Slug Rifle and has high durability and rapid movement. Its head is the weak point, so strafe to dodge the shield blasts and flank it to reach the head. Fight it away from edges.

The Phalanx debuted in The Taken King and returns in later Destiny 2 content, including Episode: Heresy. Variants include the Dire Phalanx, Ravenous Taken Phalanx and Servile Phalanx.
