Opulent Key

Overview

The Opulent Key is a Season 17 consumable used on the Derelict Leviathan to open Opulent Chests. It is tied to the Opulent Avarice triumph.

Acquisition

Keys can drop from Destination chests, Haunted Alcove chests and Nightmare Containment reward chests. Guides differ on the most reliable source: one says Nightmare chests tend to drop them, while another says they drop fairly consistently from chests around the Derelict Leviathan.

Using a Key

Only one Opulent Key can be carried at a time. Each key has a clue, shown when you inspect it, that points to one of six Opulent Chests: three in the Pleasure Gardens and three in the Royal Pools. A non-matching chest displays that the key does not fit the lock.

Rewards

Opulent weapons such as Austringer and Beloved drop only from chests that require these keys.
