History of Rohan

Overview

Rohan is a minor Story entry in Neomuna from Destiny 2: Lightfall, named for Rohan the Cloud Strider, mentor of Nimbus. He is a human from Neptune who became a Cloud Strider at the Sidereal, where he received nanomachine augmentation. He was older and more stoic than Nimbus. He first trained under Tramontane and watched the border between the Vex Network and the CloudArk, before being assigned to mentor Nimbus.

Missions

Rohan first appears in Lightfall, in the missions First Contact and No Time Left. In First Contact, he and Nimbus meet the Guardian and Osiris during the Shadow Legion invasion of Neomuna. In No Time Left, he helps the Guardian pursue Calus's forces into the Irkalla Complex. The Guardian then recovers his core and gives it to Nimbus for interment in the Hall of Heroes in the mission Celebration. He is mentioned, but does not appear, in Season of the Deep and Episode: Echoes.

Death

Rohan tried to stop the Radial Mast, a device Calus's forces used to link the Veil to the Traveler. He became trapped inside it. The Guardian broke the casing open, but was too exhausted to use Strand to destroy it, so Rohan destroyed the Mast himself by self-detonating, sacrificing his life. Nimbus then became Neomuna's main defender.
