Ruin and Want

Overview

Ruin and Want is a legacy Episode: Heresy triumph in Ritual, Resolve and Ambition. Use the Tome of Want to boost the Tablet of Ruin artifact perks with Taken energy.

How to complete

Unlock the Tome through the Shaping Slab's Path of Resolve. Its first engraving becomes available when the Tome is acquired at rank three. Select an available engraving, apply a Taken Scripture, and activate a Ritual of Desire using Essence of Desire. A ritual with only a permanent scripture costs two Essences.

The selected engraving boosts the artifact perks while the ritual remains active. The boost ends when the Tome's ritual charges are depleted. Further engravings are unlocked through the Shaping Slab's Resolve and Ambition progression. The original Heresy seasonal route retired in July 2025.
