Savin, originally named Chao Mu, was an Awoken resident of the Reef who left his homeland to repair a failing climate control system in the Gobi Desert on Earth. He died after being crushed by a refrigerator while fighting a Fallen Vandal. He was later resurrected by a Ghost he named Yourghost, becoming a Guardian. After being ambushed by Prince Uldren Sov, Savin was brought before Queen Mara Sov. He demonstrated his Void abilities and declared his loyalty to the Traveler, though he remained under the watch of the Techeuns in the Reef. Savin eventually died multiple times while experimenting with his Light abilities and hurling himself into space, before his association with the Reef ended under unknown circumstances.
