Scorn Lantern

A Scorn Lantern is an item carried by Scorn enemies in Warlord's Ruin. It looks like the iron lanterns thrown by Scorn majors, but has a Taken blight in its center.

Cleansing

Stand inside the white circle around a lantern to cleanse it. Reported cleansing times vary between sources, from about 5 seconds to 15 seconds. A cleansed lantern loses its blight and glows blue. Cleansing more lanterns before the timer runs out lengthens the damage phase of the boss fight.

Drops

Scorn Broken Knights drop Scorn Lanterns when they die. In the Locus of Wailing Grief encounter, the Malaris and Vrysiks spawned by the fight drop them. In the final encounter against Hefnd's Vengeance, Blighted Chimaera, the Nymeks and Sirloks drop them as well.

Trivia

In the first boss fight, Rathil summons Scorn Lanterns directly, along with Taken blights.
