Scourge of the Past

Overview

Scourge of the Past was a six-player Raid in the Botza District beneath the Last City, released with Season of the Forge on December 7, 2018. The fireteam fought Kell's Scourge and Insurrection Prime. The raid was vaulted with Destiny 2: Beyond Light in November 2020; its Power values and rewards below are historical.

Encounters

1. Botza District: Two players expose a Berserker's front and back weak points. The team uses the map reader and Ionized battery carriers to identify the active Berserker and route its two Radiant Batteries to matching generators before the map's charge expires.
2. Sewer maze: Use the map and entry position to navigate the underground route to the next section.
3. Escape!: Ride Sparrows through the underground course ahead of the flaming Servitor. At the exit, two players must reach and melee the far switches to close the door.
4. Vault Access: Split into surface and underground teams. Three players go underground and melee one intact generator shape each; avoid the randomly broken generator, which causes a wipe. The surface team clears adds and kills a Servitor when the underground team needs the generators reset. Below ground, each player finds the same shape again to reach Phase Radiance x2. The surface team then kills another Servitor to remove the electric barrier at the exits. Each x2 buff carrier deposits at a different surface generator to spawn a Drake tank. Use the tanks on Insurrection Prime's central construct, swap team roles, and repeat the shape-and-tank cycle until it is destroyed.
5. Insurrection Prime: Charge the generators with the familiar battery mechanic, use the Drake tanks to expose the Servitor, then group by matching Phase Radiance debuffs to gain Phase Synergy for damage. Re-form by matching debuffs after each blast wave.

Rewards

Historical rewards included Exotic grenade launcher Anarchy, the Always on Time Sparrow, Legendary weapons, and the three Black Armory raid armor sets.
