History of Sever - Grief (triumph)

Overview

Sever - Grief is a triumph awarded for completing the eponymous mission. It is the fourth mission of Season of the Haunted and the third in the Sever mission series. The triumph is worth 20 score.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, complete the Sever - Grief mission. The mission narrative follows the Guardian and Commander Zavala as they explore the Leviathan's Underbelly to reach a Severance Site and rid the Commander of the Nightmare of Safiyah.

The mission takes place in the Garden's Underbelly Depths. Players must resolve an electrical hazard and clear out Scorn enemies, including stalkers, ravagers, lurkers, raiders, wraiths, chieftains, and abominations. Specific enemies encountered include the Elite Loyalist War Beast and Avaricious Treasurer from the Cabal, as well as phantom illusions of Fallen such as dregs, wretches, vandals, and marauders.

Progression requires placing ritual amplifiers and regrouping with Commander Zavala. The mission concludes with the Severance sequence, culminating in a battle against the boss Nightmare of Kethiks, Grief Unforgiven, a Nightmare Chieftain.

The mission shares its map layout with the subsequent mission, Sever - Forgiveness, although the encounters, enemies, and modifiers differ.
