History of Specimen ID: NES006

Specimen ID: NES006 is the sixth Specimen ID quest in the Episode: Echoes chain. Failsafe gives it, and the specimen it asks you to display is the Assimilated Torch Hammer, a Vex Minotaur weapon. The specimen itself is not a reward.

Overview

Unlike earlier specimens, NES006 has no waypoint. A Proximity Sensor alert appears on screen when you near it, and it can be found in several Echoes Battlegrounds activities.

Walkthrough

1. Get final blows with Sidearms or Auto Rifles.
2. Get final blows with Arc or Solar weapons.
3. Generate Orbs of Power. Crucible or Gambit matches give bonus progress.
4. Speak with Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. to review her final specimen report.
5. Place the Assimilated Torch Hammer in the specimen display at the H.E.L.M.

Guides report the step thresholds differently, so check the in-game quest log if a value does not match.

Rewards

• The Combat Protocol Override research instrument, which detects high-value targets in Echoes Battlegrounds.

Trivia

An upgraded Torch Hammer is tied to this questline and the A Rising Chorus questline, and the upgraded version can summon secret Assimilated Demolishers.
