Synaptic Spears

'''Synaptic Spears''' are a Relic weapon that can damage the Aspect of Savathûn, the Light constructs that appear in the Mindscape at the end of each PsiOps Battlegrounds mission. Aspects are immune to normal damage, so the spear is the only weapon in that fight that can kill them.

When picked up, the Synaptic Spear switches the wielder to third person and disables their active abilities. Throwing it deals high damage with strong tracking against Aspects, and its melee slam hits an area. When its ammo runs out, it vanishes and reappears where it was first picked up. Spears spawn in set locations on the battlefield and must be collected before attacking.

The spear returned in Season of the Witch as a usable Relic in the Savathûn's Spire activity and in the Relic Crucible mode. In-universe, a letter from Master Rahool calls its use an improbable chain of hypotheticals.
