Tazaroc, the Sun Eater

Overview

Tazaroc, the Sun Eater is a female Psion Flayer who serves the Red Legion with the rank of Ultra. She is the middle of three sisters alongside Ozletc and Niruul, and represents Solar energy.

Location

Tazaroc is one of the rotating bosses of The Sundial, a six-player activity added in Season of Dawn. She spawns from a rift once the console is activated.

Fight

She fights with a Projection Rifle and Cabal guards, and has a knockback melee attack. She fires volleys of explosive Solar Seekers. Once a third of her health is gone, she summons Psion Commanders who shield her; the fireteam must defeat them to make her vulnerable again.

Later appearances

The Sundial later added Inotam, Oblivion's Triune, a fused form of Ozletc, Tazaroc and Niruul who can use each of their powers. During that fight, each third of Inotam's health depleted teleports players to fight one of the Psion Flayers, including Tazaroc.

Background

The sisters found the Sundial, a device Osiris built to look for a timeline where Saint-14 could be saved, and used it to try to undo the Vanguard's victory in the Red War. Reports of her name vary slightly between sources (one roadmap spells it "Tazarock").
