Valus Ta'aurc

Valus Ta'aurc is a Cabal boss, known as the Dares Champion, who can be the final boss of Dares of Eternity. He was formerly Fleet Commander of the Siege Dancers and remained a member of the Dust Giants.

Background

He first appeared in the original Destiny as the final boss of the Cerberus Vae III strike. He returned in Destiny 2: Warmind as Ta'aurc, Aspect of War, a Taken Centurion resurrected by Xol, appearing on Io during the Taken Blight public event and as the final boss of the Whisper of the Worm quest. He appears as the Dares Champion in the 30th Anniversary Pack.

Fight

He uses his normal abilities until a third of his health is gone. He then activates a Cabal-powered immunity shield and summons 12 Xûr's Siegebringers. Once the marked enemies are defeated, a Thresher bombards the players; destroying it drops a Dares Core. The core is thrown at the generators to call an orbital bombardment that knocks out the shield. With the shield down, he resumes combat with Commander of Eternity Colossi and Gladiators alongside his usual reinforcements, and moves around the arena more. Defeating him completes the encounter.
