Whisper Catalyst

Overview

Whisper Catalyst is the catalyst-completion record for Whisper of the Worm, an Exotic Heavy Sniper Rifle. Complete either of the alternatives in its description: defeat 500 targets with the weapon for the original catalyst, or apply the catalyst to its Shaped version. The two displayed counters are alternative routes, rather than a requirement to complete both.

How to complete

For an original copy, obtain the Whisper of the Worm Catalyst, equip the rifle and land 500 final blows. Use plentiful weak enemies and maintain Heavy ammo supplies; assists and kills from other weapons do not fulfil weapon-final-blow progress. Apply the completed catalyst in the weapon's inspection screen.

For a crafted copy, unlock its catalyst option through The Whisper reward progression and apply it when reshaping Whisper of the Worm at the Relic in the Enclave. The reprised mission's higher-difficulty completion provides the catalyst unlock. Whispers of the Taken I also adds a crafted trait option; Oracle collectibles upgrade White Nail, a separate progression.

The catalyst grants Whispered Breathing, improving precision damage and range after briefly aiming without firing. This triumph records the upgrade; it does not award another rifle.
