Wyvern

Wyverns are large, durable Vex combat units first encountered on Europa in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. They are bipedal, with double-jointed legs and a pair of shield-wings, and they combine a Minotaur-like body with Harpy-like flight.

Wyverns appear in Strikes such as The Glassway, Empire Hunts, Lost Sectors on Europa, Spire Integration public events and Vex Offensive activities. Shielded variants also appear on Nessus in Battlegrounds.

Attacks

On foot, a Wyvern fires its Warp Lance, a close-range Void cannon that can one-shot players in Master-tier content. It can then take to the air, hover and dive at its target, creating an Arc shockwave that knocks back nearby enemies. Its side-mounted shield-wings block damage from the flanks, and it has a fast bite or lunge with less damage than the Warp Lance.

Its Radiolaria core is covered at the front and can be exposed by staggering it through its eye-side turrets or with Stasis damage.

A non-canon appearance in the Vault of Glass is listed under the name "Sacrificial Wyverns".
