Competitive Playlist

The Competitive Playlist is a 3v3 Crucible playlist where players earn Competitive Divisions. Players start unranked and play seven placement matches; their performance sets their starting division. The ladder runs from Copper through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Adept and Ascendant, each with III, II and I tiers. Wins earn Division Points and kills, assists and objective play contribute, while losses can cost points and lead to demotion.

Reaching the top of a division starts a Promotion Series, which must be won two out of three games, and a failed series leads to a Relegation Series. As of Season of the Wish, lower divisions no longer require a Promotion Series to rank up.

Decay begins at Gold III, and each Competitive match adds protection points against it.
