Cyst

Overview

A Cyst is a short, self-contained encounter in the Pale Heart of The Final Shape. The best documented is the Sword Dance cyst, which sits in The Refraction and is part of the Micah-10 Convalescence questline.

Sword Dance

From The Landing, head northeast to the tunnel that leads toward The Refraction, then follow the spirit bird through the crystal cave. You fight Acolytes, a Blistered Knight and Revenant enemies, and break barriers with a sword taken from a statue. The cyst ends with a fight against Urtokk, Nargul and Ir Haza.

Completing it is step two of Convalescence: Greenery, which needs Convalescence: Rootbound and Convalescence: Underbrush done first. One guide also counts several cysts toward the Khvostov exotic path.
