Derealize

Derealize is a Season 26 Exotic mission in Destiny 2 set aboard the Dreadnaught. Completing it gives the Barrow-Dyad Exotic submachine gun and unlocks the Dyadic Ascension Exotic quest.

Overview

The mission runs through the Mausoleum, the Trenchway, Invasion Bay and the Ascendant Plane. It is fought against Dread forces and ends with the Taken version of Xir-Kuur being sealed.

Unlocking

The mission opens from The Taken Path. Reaching step 6 of that quest makes the mission available from the Destinations menu at The Last City, near the Nether activities.

Walkthrough

1. The Mausoleum: Clear Dread waves, including the miniboss Vrhissk. Avoid the Taken eyes, which stack a debuff that can stun and kill you. Take cover to let the debuff wear off.
2. The Trenchway: Push through a hidden Taken portal and clear the enemies. Vrhissk, Seeker of Power, is fought here.
3. Platforming: Use the mid-sized Taken blights as stairs back over the wall. Shoot the three hidden Hive crystals to open the gate.
4. No Escape puzzle: Match the sequence of Hive symbols while teleports occur every 8 to 10 seconds, until the sequence is completed.
5. Boss arena: Claim the Barrow-Dyad to start the fight against Xir-Kuur. The fight alternates between the normal realm and the Taken realm, where you destroy Taken blights to return. Once the two forms merge, retreat and stand on the plate outside the room to seal the boss inside.
