Overview
Disjunction is a Crucible PvP map set in Runoff, a location within Savathûn's Throne World. Introduced during Season of the Haunted, it is one of several maps added to the Crucible playlist rotation. The map supports Control, Rift, and Team Scorched game modes.
Layout & Gameplay
Disjunction is characterized by predominantly open terrain with minimal cover, making it a challenging environment for players who rely on close-quarters combat. The map features a large flat swamp area along its borders, with an exposed middle section that provides sightlines ideal for precision weapons. The openness of the design rewards coordinated teams with strong long-range weapon proficiency, particularly for players using sniper rifles. Teams lacking coordinated positioning are vulnerable to cross-map fire from skilled opponents.
Game Modes
The map is available in three competitive formats:
- Control: Standard territorial control mode where teams compete to hold zones
- Rift: Objective-based mode requiring teams to ignite and defend the opposing rift
- Team Scorched: Scorch cannon-focused mode available during special playlist rotations
Destination Context
Disjunction is located within Savathûn's Throne World, specifically in the Runoff area of the Court of Savathûn. This location is part of the Hive witch-queen's corrupted domain, which features extensive Lucent Brood and Scorn activity. The map's design reflects the twisted, otherworldly aesthetic of the Throne World.
