Expert Haunted Sector

Overview

Expert Haunted Sector is the hard, non-matchmade version of Haunted Sectors in Festival of the Lost. One sector is active at a time and rotates every few hours across Arcadian Valley, European Dead Zone, Europa and The Moon. In 2024 it was 2010 Power (game data lists 2000) with buildcraft modifiers and Champions; earlier years called the hard tier Legend (1830) with Extra Shields. Use a Fireteam Finder or LFG.

How to launch

Speak to Eva Levante in the Tower, wear a festival mask to earn Candy, and launch from the Director.

Mechanics

Capture zones to spawn Ascendant Knights (the ritual summons Headless Ones in older years); after ten a boss appears. Capture more zones, kill the Knights to spawn explosive pumpkins, and use them to break the boss's immunity shield.

Rewards

Candy, Eerie Engrams (a guaranteed drop on the hard tier in older years; focusable for weapons, Exotic armor or Exotic Class Items) and Manifested Pages for the Book of the Forgotten (115 pages for the Ghost Writer title). The easy Haunted Lost Sector playlist is the matchmade alternative. Details vary by year.
