Kell's Fall (Expert)

Overview

Kell's Fall (Expert) is the harder difficulty of the Kell's Fall Exotic mission from Destiny 2: Revenant (Episode: Revenant). It takes place in Fikrul's Revenant Fortress on the Tangled Shore, where dark reflections make it hard to tell illusion from reality. Launch it from the director; it can be played solo or with up to three players. Recommended power is 2015 (standard difficulty is 1955), with a forced -15 power delta.

Expert modifiers

• Champions: Overload and Unstoppable.
• Surges: Void and Arc; Void is the primary threat.
• Overcharge applies to Shotguns and Artifact weapons.
• Scorched Earth: enemies throw grenades more often.

Objectives and puzzles are the same as the standard version; Expert mainly raises enemy damage and adds Champions.

Encounters

1. Fight the Trickster (Araskes) in the opening.
2. Explore the Fortress (brazier puzzle section).
3. Defeat the Mad Bomber (Kaniks); you need the Revenant Empowerment buff.
4. Locate the Sanctum.
5. Defeat the Mindbender (Hiraks) in a timed mirror-realm encounter.
6. Rematch with the Trickster on the spiral staircase.
7. Defeat the Revenants: the final fight against Fikrul, the Fanatic.

Mechanics

Shoot cracked archways to move between the material plane and the Revenant Plane. Collect Revenant Essence in the Revenant Plane to build Revenant Empowerment, needed to damage certain enemies. A Refracting buff limits your time there; staying too long applies Shattering, which damages you. Against Fikrul, watch the mirror past his spawn and step into it when he charges his staff, to avoid the wipe. Grenade Launchers and Swords are recommended.

Rewards

Slayer's Fang, an Exotic Void Shotgun (the mission is its only source), plus Legendary weapons and armor. Deepsight Resonance on first completion of the standard version.
