Shadebinder

Overview

The Shadebinder is a Stasis-based Warlock subclass introduced in the Beyond Light expansion of Destiny 2. It embodies the archetype of a "dark wizard," utilizing Stasis primarily for instant freezing to halt enemies in accordance with the Warlock's perception of stillness and control. The subclass allows Warlocks to summon a Stasis staff that fires projectiles capable of freezing opponents, rendering them immobile. Additionally, Shadebinders can unleash shockwaves to shatter frozen enemies on command, summon Stasis turrets for freezing, and generate shards from defeated frozen foes. The triumph requires the player to unlock this subclass. Completing the objective awards 25 score.

How to complete

To complete the Shadebinder triumph, players must unlock the Shadebinder Warlock subclass. This is achieved by acquiring the Beyond Light expansion. Once obtained, the subclass becomes available for use, allowing the Warlock to utilize Stasis abilities such as the Winter's Wrath super, which summons a powerful Stasis staff. The staff can fire Stasis projectiles that freeze targets upon impact or unleash a melee shockwave to shatter nearby frozen targets. Other available abilities include Glacier Grenade, Duskfield Grenade, Coldsnap Grenade, and Shatter Grenade. Melee options include Penumbral Blast, which sends a blast of Stasis forward to freeze targets. Movement abilities include Balanced Glide, Burst Glide, and Controlled Glide. Class abilities include Healing Rift and Empowering Rift. Aspects such as Iceflare Bolts, Frostpulse, Bleak Watcher, and Glacial Harvest modify subclass functionality. Fragments like Whisper of Bonds, Whisper of Chains, and Whisper of Chill provide additional bonuses. Notable Shadebinders include Ikora Rey.
